Agel Handbag

These funky stripey handbags are made from agel leaves. Agel leaves derive from the gebang tree, which is common throughout Indonesia. The leaves are shredded, dried and then bound together to form small 'ropes', which are then used to make a range of handicrafts, including these fabulous fair trade handbags. The handmade handbags feature a stripey design, wooden handles and include two inside sections, separated by a zip pocket. Approx. 28 cm wide and 19 cm tall, with a strap-height of 9 cm.

This fair trade and eco-friendly handbag is made by hand by small-scale producers on the Indonesian island of Bali. Fair trade ensures that these producers are paid a fair price for their work. The producers are treated as equal partners and are given support and sales that they can rely on, over the long term, allowing them to develop their business and increase their quality of life.

Please note that as these products are
handmade there may be small variations
in the size and colour of the items.
