Each of these luxurious scarves has been handwoven from Indonesian silk and then carefully decorated using traditional batik methods. The scarves are produced by a women's cooperative in the Javanese town of Yogyakarta. The cooperative empowers the local women, teaching them the art of batik and giving them a valuable source of income for their families.
