Happy Birthday Postcard

This postcard features a photograph taken by 16-year-old Akaash Ram, and comes with an envelope. 50% of the profit from each card goes directly to Akaash, who is a teenager from a disadvantaged family in India.

FairMail is a fantastic project, providing teenagers from Peru and India with a lifeline. The teenagers are trained in photography and given cameras. The photographs that they take are then used to create these greetings cards. They are paid to pack the cards and given 50% of the profit from the cards sold. FairMail gives these teenagers a future: they can put the money they earn towards their education or towards improving the lives of their families, for example by investing in water tanks, or in new, safer houses. FairMail also provides the children with medical insurance.
